With the new season of Spring, we are inviting you to join us on this EPIC camping + hiking adventure. The new season means change, and if you’ve thought about trying something new and getting on the trail, this is definitely a chance for you!

For a little bit of inspiration, we’ve decided to host a camping trip in Sequoia National Park and take everyone on a guided day hike up to Alta Peak!

Hike 11 Miles in the beautifully mountain sides and get to witness the amazing wildlife come to life as the snow melts.

Join us on this weekend amidst the famous giant trees and beautiful scenic routes in Sequoia National Park for a two day camping trip and Adventure! If you have ever wanted to visit sequoia and trek on the most beautiful trails, then don’t think twice about signing up! This activity provides fun and exercise in the beautiful Sierra mountains. Two day trip includes guided hike up to Alta Peak, dinner on Friday night, and Breakfast on Saturday Morning! Campsites are reserved! Individuals of all levels of snowshoeing experience are welcome.

  • Registration: February 1 - April 15th

  • Skill Level: Challenging.

  • Start Time: Friday, April 30th at 3:00pm

  • Meeting Location: Buckeye Flat Campground

What to Bring

Plan to bring the following items for your guided hike:

  • Trekking Poles (Rental Available)

  • 2-3 Liters of water per person

  • Lunch & snacks for the day

  • Warm layers and/or rainshell

  • Hat & Sunglasses

  • Sunscreen

  • Camera (optional)

  • Tent

  • Sleeping Back

  • Personal Hygiene Products

  • Reusable Bowl/Spork/Cup

Wear warm, comfortable and moisture wicking clothing. April can still get cold in the Sequoias. Comfortable hiking shoes that are with grippy soles are the best option for footwear. Trekking Pole rentals available. It's important to check the weather prior to your day to make sure you're dressing appropriately.

Trip Itinerary:

Friday April 30, 2021

3:00 pm - Meet at Campsite

6:00 pm - Dinner with group / Hang out

10:00 pm - Light out!

Saturday May 1, 2021

6:00 am - Breakfast + Coffee

7:30 am - Pack up and head to Trailhead

8:30 am - Stretch and introduction

8:45 am - Start hike

(take small breaks in between)

12:00pm - Arrive Alta Peak

1:30 pm - Hike out

4:00 pm - Arrive back to Parking Lot (Wolverton)

4:30 pm - Drive home!

(Everything is subject to change, due to any unforeseen circumstances)

Travel & Logistics

Your trip begins and ends in the Wolverton Parking Lot (Pic-Nic Area) at the Alta Peak Trail Head. SNOWCHAINS REQUIRED! You will need your own vehicle or transportation for this day (carpool available), plan for extra time to get to your destination and find parking. Traffic can be heavy in Sequoia/Kings Canyon National Park during the peak months of winter. You'll be meeting your guide in the Wolverton Parking Lot, right next to the bear canisters and Alta Peak Trailhead. There is plenty of parking area, as well as bathrooms. Directions will be sent to you upon registration.

CANCELATION POLICY

Cancelations must be made by the last Monday before the Trip Date for full Refund. Otherwise, no refunds will be made. We need ample time to get the word out and have other sign up for your spot! We hope you understand.
